 I recently came back from my vacation in Kosova.  I stayed with Rreza and her family in their beautiful new house.  Although it was summer in Europe, 2003, one of the hottest summers on record, I managed to keep cool enough to not pass out.  We went to the river Drini several times and rode around in Rreza's father's car, with the windows down of course.

We took many trips through the country side including a mountain where we ended up a few minutes from the border of Montenegro.  Several nice people through feasts in my honor where we ate and drank many traditional Kosova foods and drinks.  I am not so sure about the cucumber/garlic/yogurt drink and I don't know why Europeans prefer thick, chunky milk, but I loved the different fruit juices, and all of the food is wonderful

It was wonderful to see and visit with the Hajdari family again (Florije, Vlora and Lume), Shipram was visiting family in Montenegro, so I missed him.  Lume has become a young man so quickly and Vlora's English is so good, she is ready to come to school in America.
